Mr Derek Volker AO, BA, FRAIPA
Mr Volker was appointed Chairman of Defence Housing Australia (DHA) on 26 July 2008.
He headed three Commonwealth Departments over 15 years to 1996—Veterans' Affairs; Social Security; and Employment, Education and Training. From 1996 to 2004 he was Chairman of the Government Relations Group in Corrs Chambers Westgarth. He has been a company director and has been a consultant to several major Australian and international companies. For the ACT Government he has held positions including:
- Chair of the ACT Skills Commission
- Chair of the Australian Capital Tourism Corporation
- Chair of the ACT Business Incentives Scheme Panel
- Chair of the Education Export Council
He is currently Chair of the City West Precinct Committee and of the OZ Help Foundation.
