Location
The 16.3 hectare site is ideally located for Australian Defence Force personnel – close to Defence NSW headquarters in Sydney's CBD and bases, amenities, public transport and schools.
The planned development will provide more than 400 new residences consisting of apartments, townhouses and detached houses. Approximately half will be provided for Defence members and their families.
Naming the estate
The estate has been named AE2, in recognition of the efforts of those aboard the HMAS AE2 submarine, and the continued naval history of the site. HMAS AE2 paved the way for Allied submarines by crossing the Dardanelles during the Gallipoli campaign.
