Defence Housing construction in the Top End

The following images, using time-lapse photography, show one of 50 new Defence housing constructions underway in the suburb of Lyons in Darwin between June and August 2009, as part of the Nation Building – Economic Stimulus Plan.

A total of 185 new Defence houses will be built in Lyons by June 2011.

In addition, DHA is continuing to assist the construction industry train skilled tradespeople with 2 apprenticeship places to be supported in Darwin, under DHA’s Apprenticeship Support Scheme.
