Nation building funded Defence houses finished in Townsville
This week Defence Housing Australia (DHA) announced the completion of all 118 Nation Building-Economic Stimulus Plan (NB-ESP) funded houses in Townsville.
The new houses will help to ease the pressure in the private rental market and provide high quality accommodation for incoming Defence Personnel posted to Townsville.
This recent milestone brings the total of Defence homes completed under the stimulus plan to over 550, with more to come in the coming months.
DHA has been focused on completing the 829 houses, which have been contracted in various major cities throughout Australia, to come in ahead of schedule and on budget.
As part of the Federal Government's NB-ESP, DHA was allocated $245.58 million to build a total of 829 houses.
