Rent Valuation
Dear Lessors
The market rent of your property is assessed as at 31 December 2011. In January 2012, you will receive written notification from DHA of your property’s new weekly market rent, including a Rental Certificate from the Market Valuer.
If your lease allows for a secondary review clause and if you are dissatisfied with the Market Valuer’s assessment, you have 30 days to initiate the secondary review process. In doing so you must provide DHA with:- written notice of your intent to pursue the secondary review process; and
- a valuation of market rent, provided by a registered valuer appointed and paid for by you.
Promptly after receiving the secondary valuation, once the process is complete DHA will confirm the final market rent valuation.
