Cyclone Yasi approaching North Queensland
What tenants should do as the emergency approaches:
Emergency authorities in North Queensland have advised residents to develop a response plan now.
If you plan to stay in your house, make sure that every person in your family knows what the plan is and that they know where to go should a cyclone hit.
If you are thinking about moving your family — do it early — it will be too late once the storm hits.
Residents in some areas are being urged to evacuate. DHA recommends that tenants follow the instructions of local authorities.
